There’s just a hint of winter in the air here. It’s late August, nights are drawing-in and the evenings are distinctly cooler. It’s time to pack away the old electric fan back into the loft and fish-out the heavy duvet.
But the upside is that Footballl is back. Thursday August 31 sees the NCAA I-A College Football kickoff – although for us in the UK the first chance we’ll get to see a game will be Saturday’s triple header on NASN (5pm – North Texas @Texas, 830 – Louisiana Tech “ Nebraska and 12 – Utah @ UCLA).
With NFL coverage kicking off the following weekend it sets up a great winter sports package … and I can’t wait.
I’ll be there on Saturday all perky and set-up for game-day and a marathon session on the SportsSOFA. Course it’s not as easy as that … there is an admission price to pay … turns out the only way I can get that much uninterrupted TV time is to trade in the ‘Man-badge’.
That’s right – I sussed this out last year – if I set the ironing board up and stack the laundry baskets just-so … then I can watch and iron to my hearts-content … and the coffee and snacks keep coming.
Ok, so I can’t let my neighbour see me … but at least I get to see the games.
